Navy Pilot Killed In Mile-High Crash

Pensacola, Fla., July 7 – (AP) 0 A mile high collision between two navy airplanes brought death to the pilots as the flaming ships crashed to earth in a wooded sector several miles from the naval station.
Those killed were J. A. MCMANN, a U. S. naval reserve cadet, of Glendale, Calif., and W. F. MERSHON, marine corps cadet of Mena, Ark.

A military board of inquiry was convened to determine the cause of the accident, witnessed by many persons here.
