PAPETON, COLO., IS REPORTED FLOODED

Colorado Springs, Colo., May 27.—A. cloudburst north of Colorado Springs early this evening flooded Papeton, a mining community, and is believed to have washed away several frame shacks. No loss of life is reported. The sheriff and his deputies have responded to appeal for aid. There is two feet of water north of town. Monument creek has risen several feet but there is no serious flood anticipated.
