Beulah Valley, CO Tractor Accident, Aug 1951

Pueblo, Aug. 25. -- (AP) -- ALFRED L. STROMAN, 69, of North Creek Road, in Beulah Valley was killed instantly Saturday morning when the tractor he was driving overturned and crushed his head and chest.
STROMAN was using the tractor and a scoop to get sand from the creek, according to Maurice Forester, deputy sheriff, who investigated the accident with T. V. Keenan, investigator for the district attorney. It appeared, Forester said, that in pulling the scoop, STROMAN let the front wheel get off the road, causing the rear wheel to cave in the dirt with the result that the tractor flipped on its side in the barrow pit, pinning the farmer under the levers and right fender.
