SIX ARE KILLED AS CAR PLUNGES OFF ROAD IN CLARKE COUNTY.

In Clarke County six were killed when their car plunged off a road and smashed into a creek bed.
The car was on a straight stretch of Alabama Highway 5 just northeast of Thomasville when it left the road in the small hours of Sunday morning. Highway Patrolman James Johnson said. Not until some 7 1/2 hours later was the car spotted.
By then four persons were dead and three unconscious. Only one, 3-year-old DAVID MONTGOMERY, survived and he is in a Grove Hill hospital in fair condition.
Johnson said the dead, all Negroes were ALBERT NOBLES, 34, the driver; MINNIE MONTGOMERY, 65; HATTIE LEE MONTGOMERY, 26; JOHN H. MONTGOMERY, 19; MAY LEAN MONTGOMERY, 16 months; and ARLEAN ARMSTEAD, 41.
