Opp, AL Head On Collision Kills Five, Dec 1957

FIVE KILLED IN ALABAMA.

FOUR OF THE VICTIMS ARE AIRMEN FROM EGLIN.

Opp, Ala., Dec. 8 (AP) - A head-on collision of two cars 12 miles south of Opp today killed five men, four of them airmen stationed at the Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.
A state patrolman, H. E. Ray, said a car driven by CARLOS LEE FLOURNOY, was on the wrong side of the road.
The collision occurred on a curve on U.S. Highway 331.
FLOURNOY, 21, of Opp was killed.
The dead airmen were:
ROBERT A. BERRY, 21;
LEWIS E. COURSER, 22;
ANTHONY B. MELI, 21;
and ROBERT WICK, 20.
