Rock Springs, WY Fell Out of Automobile, Sept 1929

OPEN CAR DOOR CAUSE OF MANY INJURIES TO SALESMAN IN WYO.

Rock Springs, Wyo, Sept. 27--(AP)--When E. K. Shepard, Fort Collins, Colo., typewriter salesman, reached Rock Springs Friday he had as many scars as a leopard has spots.

While driving between Craig, Colo., and here, Shepard was sitting in the right side of a sedan with two persons. As the car rounded a curve at high speed, the car door opened and the swirl of the machine threw Shepard out before he could grab a protective hold.

He rolled down a steep embankment and his companions rushed back, expecting he was killed. Shepard arose and walked unassisted to the automobile.

He received medical attention at Dixon, Wyo. He suffered more than a score of skin abrasions and healing scars.
