TWO MEN SCALDED.
B & O Employes [sic] Fatally Injured While Repairing a Boiler.
Wheeling, Feb 1- JOHN CONLEY, foreman of Baltimore and Ohio boilermakers, and VINCE BUMER, his assistant, were scalded in an explosion at Benwood Junction while they were engaged in repairing an engine boiler. Conley will die.
The boiler was leaking and they tried to tighten the shut-off with a wrench, when the pressure of 175 pounds of steam blew it out. The men were thrown 10 feet and rendered unconscious.
