FOUR KILLED IN WRECK.

Equipment Train Backs into Engine in Chesapeake & Ohio Yards.

CHARLESTON, West Va., Aug. 14.---Four men were killed and six were injured when an equipment train backed into a moving yard engine in the Chesapeake & Ohio yards at Handley, West Va., last night, according to reports that reached here to-day.

The dead are John P. Dryer, engineman on yard engine; Benjamin Allman, assistant track foreman; Andrew L. Pack, coal miner, and Reuben Dean, a blacksmith.

The last two were negroes, and were riding on the equipment train.
