KILLED IN A COLLISION.

FOUR DEAD AND ONE SERIOUSLY INJURED AT HANDLEY, W. VA.

Charleston, W. Va., Aug. 14. -- Four were killed and another seriously injured when an equipment train backed into a moving yard engine in the Chesapeake & Ohio yards at Handley last night, according to reports that reached here tonight.
The dead:
JOHN DWYER, engineman on the yard engine.
BENJAMIN ALLMAN, assistant to foreman.
ANDREW L. H. PACK, coal miner.
REUBEN DEAN, a blacksmith.
The latter two are colored and were riding on the equipment train. Responsibility for the accident has not yet been fixed.
