1952 Moses Lake crash

My 2nd cousin, Howell Day McCarley, survived this tragedy. He received bad burns on his face and hands and his right ankle was crushed. He was in the hospital for 8 weeks before being transported to a Texas hospital. I had no clue this had happened to him, and only discovered it while doing Ancestry.com. This article explains it all, and I enjoyed reading it!

C-124 crash, Larson AFB

My father-in-law survived that crash. He was badly burned and lived til 80 with 3 daughters.
