Charlottesville, VA Minor Earthquake, Feb 1907

EARTHQUAKE IN VIRGINIA.

Charlottesville, Va., Feb. 12. -- An earthquake of considerable violence was felt throughout this section. In Charlottesville dishes were rattled at the breakfast tables. The shock was recorded at the University of Virginia by FREDERICK W. REED, assistant to Professor ORMONDSTONE, director of the Leander McCormick observatory.
The tremor lasted about 20 seconds.
