William Scott Luton Dies in Plane Crash

MIDLAND, Texas, March 5.---William Scott Luton, 24 year old trainee instructor at Kelly Field and son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar M. Luton of Midland, was killed Wednesday afternoon in an airplane crash near the field.

Luton, who was in the trainee instructor section of the Air Force, lacked only eighteen hours of flying time to become a full-fledged instructor. Before entering the Army he was with the United States Navy Air Corps. Besides his parents, he is survived by a sister, Miss Sarah Luton of Midland.

Cadet Buried at Bonham

BONHAM, Texas, March 5.---the funeral of Aviation Cadet Scott Luton, 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Luton of Midland, was held here Friday. The body, draped with the colors, was buried in Willow Wild Cemetery. Luton was killed in a plane crash at Kelly Field Wednesday. He was born in Bonham. Besides his parents, one sister survives.
