Child Drowns in River, Body Is Swept Away

WACO, Texas, June 20. – No trace has been found late Wednesday of the body of HENRY HIGHTOWER JR., 5, drowned at 4:30 p. m. Wednesday in the Brazos River, five miles south of here. The child was playing on the bank of the river when he fell in. Hearing his screams, the father rushed to the river and jumped in. he caught hold of the boy, but the child was swept away by the swift current.
