HEAD-ON CRASH KILLS 7.

Associated Press.
Waco - Alcohol was probably the cause of a high speed, head-on collision that killed at least seven people and injured two others, authorities said Sunday.
Waco police said the driver of a speeding 1989 Pontiac Grand Am that crossed a median and veered into an oncoming car is suspected of having been under the influence of alcohol.
Witnesses told police the five passengers had just left a private party and were on their way to a local night club Saturday night when the car swerved into a 1989 Chevrolet Camaro carrying four passengers.
All but one person in each of the vehicles were killed.
The two survivors are 14-year-old JASON DIETRICH of Riesel, and 27-year-old ROBERT KOENIG.
DIETRICH was in satisfactory condition Sunday at Providence Hospital. KOENIG, who was taken to Hillcrest Hospital, was in serious condition.
The seven who were killed are:

BRANDI HAVERKAMP, 14, of Riesel;
KATRINA KORGER, 14, of Riesel;
CHRISTOPHER CORWIN, 20, of Waco;
