FIVE KILLED IN CRASH NEAR NEW BRAUNFELS.

New Braunfels, May 25 (AP) - Five persons were killed in a head-on automobile crash early today four miles south of here on U.S. Highway 81. Two other persons were seriously injured.

Killed instantly were three members of an Elgin, Texas, family:
LINCOLN FRANK CROPPAN, 42;
BOBBY JOE CROPPAN, 22;
and SHIRLEY O. CROPPAN, 19;
and Cpl. MAX R. BELTRAN of Round Rock, Texas, who was stationed at Fort Bliss. All were in the same car.

Airman 1-C EDWARD L. HARPER of Akron, Ind., who was stationed at Randolph Air Force Base, San Antonio, died of neck injuries an hour after the accident. He was alone in the second car.

The two persons injured were riding in the CROPPAN car. They were JOHNNY DRIESSUCE, 22, of Giddings, and MARION W. NEWMAN, 23, of Austin. Both are in serious condition in a hospital here.
