Wichita Falls, TX Head On Automobile Crash, Mar 1955

FIVE ARE KILLED IN TEXAS AUTO CRASH.

Wichita Falls, Tex., March 18 - (AP) - Five persons, including an Enid, Okla., man, were killed last night in a head-on automobile crash eight miles north of Wichita Falls.
Capt. JAMES KEANE, 38, Long Island, N.Y.;
a 2-year-old son, MICHAEL E.;
and DAVID J. OVEN, an Enid Cattle breeder, were killed instantly.
Two other KEANE children, JOHN P., 8; and TIMOTHY E., 1, were dead on arrival at Sheppard Air Force Base hospital.
The accident occurred in a heavy traffic near the intersection of U.S. 281 and a farm-market road. Both vehicles were demolished.
OVEN, also a drilling contractor, was believed en-route to Wichita Falls on business. KEANE was assigned at Sheppard.
