Antelope, TX Private Plane Crash, Jul 1966

CRASH KILLS 4 IN NORTH TEXAS.

Antelope, Tex. (UPI) - A single-engine plane crashed in North Central Texas Sunday during a heavy thunderstorm, killing four residents of Los Alamos, N.M.
The victims were DR. and MRS. JAMES H. SEARS, in the early 40s; their son, KEN, 9, and LOUIS KILGORE, 41.
The SEARS had flown to Dallas Saturday to leave their 17-year-old daughter Carolyn with friends.
They had started back from Dallas Love Field in good weather but a heavy storm developed near the Wichita Falls area.
The bodies were badly burned. Officials said apparently the plane had exploded on impact.
Antelope is about 30 miles southeast of Wichita Falls.
