Tornado Ranges Close to Canadian

Canadian, Texas, June 6 (UP).-A tornado hit near this small Panhandle town Saturday night and damaged some property, but there were no reports of injuries.

Sheriff Clyde Risley said he could not estimate the possible damage, but that the worse part of the tornado hit about two miles east of the town and most of Canadian’s damage was from the high winds.

Mayor Maloud Abraham called it “miraculous” that no one was injured. He said “store fronts and plate glass windows were smashed and battered.”
