Child Struck By Car Is Seriously Ill at Hospital

Ralph SOLOMON, 5-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis SOLOMON, 1024 South Fourteenth street, was lying critically ill under an oxygen tent at the West Texas Baptist sanitarium last midnight, from injuries received Friday afternoon when hit by an automobile driven by E. F. MITCHELL.

Attendants expressed little hope for his recovery. He was suffering several broken robs over the heart and internal injuries.

Police, investigating the accident, which occurred near the SOLOMEN home, reported the child was struck by MITCHELL’S machine as it veered sharply across the street in an attempt to avoid the child.
