Fall From Scaffold Fatal to Worker

L. C. HESTER, 55, retired farmer, died at 8:30 Wednesday night in liendrick (sic) Memorial Hospital of injuries sustained Sept. 18 when he fell while working on a scaffold at a house under construction in the 800 block EN 14th St.

Funeral services will be in Meadow, Tex., with Laughter-North Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. HESTER was born Sept. 19, 1882, in Mississippi. He had lived in Abilene for three years.

Survivors include his wife, nine children, Preston, Clarence, Rese and Royce HESTER of Meadow, Mrs. H. P. SIMS of Eunice, N. M., Mrs. Leslie TRIGG of 845 EN 14th St., Abilene, James E. HESTER of Carlsbad, N. M. Kenneth HESTER of EN 12th St. Abilene and Mrs. Jess PENDERGRASS of Meadow; and 2 grandchildren.
