Car, Train Hit; Five Injured
One Seriously Hurt in Collision at Forest and Belt Tracks.
Five persons, all of the same family, were injured, one of them seriously, when an automobile and an eastbound Texas & Pacific passenger train collided at Forest Avenue and the belt line tracks at 9:20 o’clock Friday night.
The injured are:
E. F. Bennett, 40, of 3710 Jamaica Street, internal injuries, bruises and lacerations, condition serious.
Mrs. E. F. Bennett, bruises and lacerations.
Carolina Bennett, 8, bruises and lacerations.
Maxine Bennett, 5, bruises and lacerations.
Mary Anna Bennett, 3, bruises and lacerations.
All of the injured were taken to Baylor Hospital after treatment at the Emergency Hospital.
Three laborers who were working in a ditch near the accident were slightly injured when the automobile ran into a pile of dirt after impact with the train and knocked some stones into the ditch, which struck them. They were treated at Emergency Hospital.
