CONCRETE CULVERT FALLS ON WORKMEN

Accident on Rosedale Street Between Eighth and Ninth

One man was instantly killed, another fatally injured and three others seriously hurt in an accident which occurred at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon on Rosedale street between Eighth and Ninth avenues. All the men are negroes.

The unfortunate men were at work in a culvert recently completed taking away the shoring and supports when the concrete was thought to have been sufficiently hardened to permit of the wooden support being moved. The men were at work on this talk when the accident occurred.

The culvert was on property owned by W. L. Ligon, and was constructed by C. C. Peters.

Dr. Miller, who resides in the neighborhood of where the accident occurred, was summoned and gave surgical aid to the injured men.
