Shelbyville, TN Victor Mills Fire, Apr 1891
The Victor Mills, a large flouring establishment at Shelbyville, Tenn., were destroyed by fire yesterday. Loss, about $25,000. Insurance estimated at $12,000. The books and papers of the concern were burned. The mills were owned by Russell & Espy. The electric light plant of the town, which was in the mill, and the water works engines were also burned. The town is without public lights and water. Cause of fire not known.
