CHATTANOOGA TAXICAB SKIDS INTO TRUCK, HITS CAR.

Chattanooga, Tenn., Oct. 6 - (AP) - A taxicab skidded into a truck and careened head-on into a car killing eight persons, including a mother and her baby.
Killed were MRS. SHIRLEY DORSEY, 30, of Minden, La., and her son, BRADFORD, 11 months, in one car, and six Chattanooga Negroes riding in the taxi. They were identified as AMOS POOLE, 44, the driver; DELORES WILSON; NATHANIEL BELL, 29; EDWARD ROBINSON, JR; ALICE INGRAM, 31; and LATTI GAMBLE, 24.
MRS. DORSEY'S husband, CARL M. DORSEY was asleep in the back seat of their car at the time of the accident, and survived with undetermined injuries.
The driver of the truck, Edward J. Carlson, of Bristol, Va., was unhurt.
