TROLLEY AND AUTO SMASH TOGETHER.

Warwick, R. I., July 4. -- (AP) -- His view cut off by dense bushes growing on both sides of the crossing, GUSTAV MENSEL, of Riverside drove his automobile directly in front of a trolley car this afternoon and as a result three of the occupants of the automobile are dead and MENSEL and the fifth occupant are badly injured.
The dead:
MRS. EVA HARTLEY, 50 years old of Providence.
MISS MILLIE J. HARTLEY, 18, Mrs. Hartley's daughter.
MISS ELLA M. BIDWELL, 25, of Providence.
RAYMOND HARTLEY, 10 year old son of Mrs. Hartley was badly bruised.
All the injured persons were alive when the trolley car was stopped. MISS HARTLEY died on the way to a hospital and MISS BIDWELL and MRS. HARTLEY a few minutes later.
The injured:
MRS. GEORGE CRUITT, will lose an eye.
VIOLA, nine year old daughter of E. E. METTLER, leg broken.
Infant Daughter of FRANK SUNDERMAN, are broken.
AUGUST HATTENDORT, leg broken.
Son of NATHAN ENGLAND, age 12, both legs and arms badly burned.
J. N. BINCKLEY, hands burned.
MRS. FANNIE SHELLENBERGER, leg broken.
The victims all live in Lancaster.
