Providence, RI Lumber Storehouse Fire, Dec 1852
The building known as the red Slaughter house, near the corner of Broad and Pearl-streets, owned by Calvin Dean, and occupied by C. W. Atwood, for the storage of lumber, was destroyed by fire last night about 7 o'clock. Estimated loss about $2,000. The fire is supposed to have been the work of an incendiary.
