Montreal, QB Dental College Fire, Dec 1922

LAVAL DENTAL COLLEGE BURNS; LOSS $500,000.

Montreal, Dec. 1. -- The Laval Dental College, connected with the University of Montreal, was almost destroyed by fire early today. The college, which is separated from the main building of the university, was valued at about $500,000. Officials are at a loss to explain the origin of the fire, the second within three weeks at the university, and the third within the year.
All available apparatus responded to the alarm and brought the flames under control after two hours fighting. Eight firemen were injured slightly by flying glass and in minor accidents.
