Blairsville, PA Glass Factory Destroyed By Wind, Feb 1890

Building Destroyed

Pittsburg, Pa., Fe.7. -- At Blairsville, Pa., the largest glass factory was demolished by the wind. The roof was blown off and two side walls facing east fell in. Charles E. Barr, general manager, and Wm. Burney, one of the firm, were instantly killed, and a workman whose name could not be learned, injured. Mr. Burney's body was immediately taken from the wreck. It was mangled almost beyond recognition. Mr. Barr's remains were recovered two hours later.
