Hampton Station, PA Nitro Glycerine Explosion, Apr 1918
BLOWN TO ATOMS
James V. Seth of East Second St., Oil City, was blown to atoms yesterday morning when 100 quarts of nitre glycerine exploded, which he was conveying on the State Highway near Hampton station. Seth left Oil City yesterday morning at seven o'clock. There were no witnesses to the accident. The cause of the accident can not be learned but it is the first one to occur in four years in the history of the Ellis Hall Sons company where Mr. Seth worked.
