Bolt of Lightning Bounds Throug[sic] Window Of Faircance[sic] Home

UNIONTOWN, July 10--A bolt of lightning bounded through the window in the home of Mrs. M. A. McCormick, 76, at Fairchance at 6 o'clock Friday morning. While she was preparing breakfast.

The lightning, the woman said, seemed to bounce just through the window, down across the floor, burned off an electric wire attached to a hot plate and then flied right out of the window again. The light from the bolt was so bright that she was temporarily blinded.

Mrs. Sturgis Miller, a neighbor, believed that the lightning also had struck her home. Mrs. McCormick is suffering from a severe case of shock.
