BLAZE CAUSES LOSS OF $5,000.
Northside Furniture Store Swept By Flames; Traffic Tied Up Over Hour.
Fire that broke out on the second floor of a three-story brick storeroom at 1317 Madison avenue, Northside, yesterday afternoon caused $5,000 damage. A. Romback conducts a furniture business in the building.
When firemen arrived the second floor was in flames and for a time the blaze continued to spread, but after and hour's fight it was extinguished. Traffic in Madison avenue was tied up for more than an hour during the evening rush. The cause of the fire is undetermined.
