BOY SCALPED BY FALL FROM COAL TIPPLE

MOUNT PLEASANT, June 19. - As Thomas Kocinski, 16 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ignac Kocinski of Standard, and other boys were playing Friday evening at 6:45 o'clock on the tipple at Standard, Thomas fell 40 feet. His entire scalp was torn off. He may also have a possible fracture.

When the boy, who weighs 200 pounds, fll he struck a trap door, and went down into the bin among some machinery, head first.

Boys who were playing with him got him out and took him to Frick Memorial Hospital, where it was said this morning he had a 50-50 chance for his life, which was despaired of all Friday night.
