TRAIN HITS AUTO; THREE ARE KILLED.

CRASH OCCURS AT B. & O. CROSSING NEAR CONNELLSVILLE TODAY.

AUTO IS STRUCK BY FAST TRAIN.

Connellsville, Pa., June 19 -- (INS) -- Three persons were instantly killed at nearby Smithton today when their automobile was struck by a Baltimore and Ohio railroad passenger train.
The dead were:
MRS. ADA, LAPE, 40; her daughter, MARY JANE LAPE, and a neighbor, EDWARD STIMMEL, 23.
They had been enroute to their home at Wick Haven after shopping at Smithton when the accident occurred.
The bodies were carried about 75 feet by the fast flying train and were badly mangled. The car was almost completely demolished.
