DESTRUCTIVE FIRES.

Burning of the Hope Cotton Mills, Alleghany City.

PITTSBURG, Penn., Sept. 27.---About 9 o'clock this morning a fire broke out in the Hope Cotton Mills, in Alleghany City, owned by A. H. CHILDS & CO., which destroyed the buildings entirely. The loss is about $150,000; insured for $115,000, mostly in Eastern companies. About three hundred employes[sic] are thrown out of work.
