ALLENTOWN GIRL IS FATALLY BURNED
Allentown, Pa., Dec. 31. - One fatality, the result of the cold wave and scarcity of coal, occurred here today when 6 year-old Mary Baranak, daughter of Micheal [sic] Baranak, died at the Allentown hospital from burns when her dress caught fire while she was warming herself in front of an oil stove, the family being entirely without fuel.
Steve, a 3-year-old brother of the girl, was perhaps fatally burned when he tried to extinguish the flames. The mother also sustained serious burns.
