CROSSING CRASH FATAL FOR EIGHT.

Portland, Sept. 12. - (AP) - Eight persons, six of them young children, were killed instantly when the automobile in which they were riding was struck by a Southern Pacific locomotive at a railroad crossing two miles southeast of Milwaukee, Oregon, Sunday.
The dead:
MR. and MRS. ELWOOD LYON;
their three young daughters;
two Japanese girls;
and MARGARET JONES, 13.
The group was returning home from church services.
A fourth daughter of the LYONS' was injured, but she will recover.
