TULSA MEN IN WRECK

Pope Brothers, Recent Arrivals Here, Injured in Auto-Man Registered From Okmulgee Killed.

DALLAS, Texas, March 28. – J. G. SWANSON, said to be a prominent hotel man of Oklahoma City and Kansas City, was instantly killed, and W. S. Pope and James A. Pope, brothers, real estate dealers of Tulsa and Oklahoma City, slightly injured when their automobile was wrecked here tonight. Swanson’s skull was fractured.

Swanson and the two Popes were driving on White Rock drive when the automobile, according to the Pope brothers, suddenly crumpled and turned over three times.

Eyewitnesses said the car was being driven at a high rate of speed. W. S. Pope said he was driving the car, but could not explain the accident.

Mr. Swanson was president of the Swanson Hotel company, chartered in Texas recently. He registered here yesterday from Okmulgee, Okla.
