Ames, OK Two Bombers Collide, Jan 1946

FOUR FLIERS KILLED AS BOMBERS COLLIDE.

Enid, Okla., Jan. 18 - (AP) - The Enid Army airfield today identified four fliers killed yesterday at Ames, Okla., in the collision of two B-25 medium bombers.
They were Second Lieut. WILLIAM J. SMITH, Enid, Okla.; Flight Officer CHARLES W. MOORE, Glendale, Calif.; Cadet CARLOS F. P. RICHTER, Brazil; and Cadet FUNG REI LIOU, China.
The planes fell 500 feet apart and did not catch fire. They were on a routine formation training flight when the crash occurred.
