ARGYLE LUMBER YARD AND WAREHOUSE BURN.

FIRE STARTING FROM SLAKING OF LIME IN BINS DOES SERIOUS DAMAGE AT COUNTY TOWN.

Monroe, Wis., Sept. 14. -- Fire early today, which started from the slaking of lime in bins at the lumber yard owned by L. J. Lovejoy and operated by J. H. Olson, destroyed a large amount of lumber, spread to the warehouse of Amos Regez, destroying it with a loss of $8,000, and burned the coal sheds owned by Chris Marty.
Eight box cars in the railroad yards were also destroyed. A large quantity of lumber was washed down the Pecatonica River, which is at record height. The depot building was also destroyed by the flames.
