DUMP-TRUCK COLLISION KILLS 5.

Marion, Ohio - A dump truck carrying a load of gravel slammed into a car on Tuesday, killing all five passengers.
The car left a stop sign heading north and pulled into the path of the eastbound truck, police said. The truck did not have a stop sign.
The truck driver, LAUREN McNEIL, 70, was in stable condition at Marion General Hospital, said nursing supervisor Sherry Vannoy. He was alone in the truck.
The driver of the car was identified as ELIZABETH MARY CARTER, 68, and passengers VIRGINIA LEE BENES, 64, MAUREEN ELIZABETH VERRAN, 43, and GOLDIE O. MARSHALL, 77, all of Monroe, Mich. The fifth victim was not immediately identified.
