Cleveland, OH Train Accident, Sept 1904

James Tyrrell Was Killed by a C. & P. Train.

The body of the man who was killed Saturday on the C. & P. tracks at Cooper street was identified yesterday by Miss Mabel Tyrrell as that of her father, John Tyrrell of No. 21 Lyman street, a well known Democratic politician. When he did not return home Saturday night she thought he had stopped with friends, but when Sunday night went by and no word came Miss Tyrrell began a search, which ended at Abel’s morgue.

It is thought that Tyrrell was taking a short cut to his home along the tracks when struck by the train. the funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 8 o’clock at the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
