CHILO, OH (AP) - Two men from Cincinnati and another from Florence, KY, drowned yesterday when their 12-foot boat was sucked into and crushed against a dam on the Ohio River near here, state police reported.

The victims were identified as ARTHUR LANHAM, 35, of Florence, KY, WADE JOHNSON, 33, and HERBERT LAMBERT, about 50, both of Cincinnati.

The fourth man in the boat, Dudley Stacy, also of Cincinnati, said he escaped from the swirling water by climbing to the top of the Meldahl Dam on girders along a support wall.

Stacy said the four set out Saturday afternoon for an all night fishing party and had remained in the area of the Meldahl Dam.
