Alexander Bay, NY Drowing, Jul 1890
THE RECENT DROWNING ACCIDENT.
ALEXANDRIA BAY, July 26.
The bodies of Mr. and Mrs. Pemberton, Mrs. Hart, and Miss Henry, who were drowned on the evening of the 17th, were recovered by a diver and taken to Bradford, Penn., on Thursday. All of the ladies had life preservers on and would have escaped drowning had they not remained in the cabin of the yacht when she sank. The ladies of Alexander Bay covered the coffins with flowers before they were borne out of the village.
