NM MAN KILLED IN CAR-BUS CRASH.

Carlsbad, March 27 (AP) -- One Carlsbad man was killed and nine others were injured today in a bus-car crash five miles east of here on U.S. Highway 62. It was the 82nd highway fatality in the State this year.
The driver of the automobile, JOHN H. ORHAM, died instantly from head injuries, and the bus driver, IRA WATKINS, suffered severe scalp cuts and a possible broken neck. He was driving a Potash Mines Transportation Co. bus.
Eight passengers in the bus were injured, none of them seriously.
Investigating officers said that ORHAM was driving toward Carlsbad and the bus was headed toward the potash mines east of Carlsbad. ORHAM apparently fell asleep while driving and his car turned into the bus traffic lane officers said.
ORHAM'S car was demolished, and the left side of the bus was damaged badly.
