Carlsbad, NM Bomber Crash, Apr 1945

Carlsbad Army Air Field, Carlsbad, N.M., April 11
-- (UP) -- Four airmen, injured when they parachuted from a disabled four-engined bomber southwest of the Carlsbad Army air field, were hospitalized today at the field's station hospital. Six other fliers parachuted safely to the ground.
The plane, which had taken off from Biggs Field, El Paso, crashed and burned in the mountains.
Two of the injured airmen were reported in serious condition.
They were:
Second Lt. GLOVER E. BAGBY, Cave Springs, Ark.
Cpl. JAMES W. WILSON, Minneapolis, Minn.
Being treated for minor injuries were:
Cpl. JOHN E. LAWLESS, Abilene, Tex.
T-Sgt. HAROLD E. FORREST, El Paso, Texas.
