FATAL REAR-END CRASH.

Accident Near the Elizabeth, N. J. Station.

ELIZABETH, N. J., April 26.---One man was killed and several persons were slightly injured in a rear-end collision on the Pennsylvania Railroad here to-day when the Long Branch Express train crashed into the Washington Express just west of the Elizabeth station. David Lotts of Point Pleasant, N. J., the fireman on the rear train, jumped, struck on a picket fence and was killed. It was said the brakes refused to work.
