Stromsburg, NE Head On Auto Collision, Aug 1959

SIX KILLED IN HEAD-ON CRASH IN NEBRASKA.

Stromsburg, Neb. (UPI) - Six persons were killed Saturday in a two-car head-on crash on U.S. Highway 81, two miles north of here.
The dead were not immediately identified, other than that three of them were children, two were men and the other a woman.
Authorities said one of the cars was from Oklahoma and the other from South Dakota.
Five of the bodies were taken to a mortuary at York, Neb. The sixth victim, a man, was dead upon arrival at Anne Jeffrey Memorial County Hospital at Osceola, Neb., and his body was taken to a mortuary there.
JOAN MADSEN, 21, Dell Rapids, S.D., was hospitalized here for abrasions but was not in serious condition.
At the Osceola hospital, a man and a woman were reported in critical condition from injuries suffered in the accident.
