Burned as Jar Explodes
MINDEN, Neb., (UP)--Mrs. Emil Nelson, wife of Postmaster Nelson, was painfully burned about the face and shoulders while canning tomatoes. She was tightening a lid when the glass jar exploded, throwing hot liquid on her and over the room. She was wearing glasses, which protected her eyes from injury. Jar fragments caused only one small cut on her neck.
