WELL-KNOWN RANCHER KILLED IN AUTO ACCIDENT.

Missoula, June 8.—Fred Rein, a well-to-do rancher and the father of nine children, was killed last night in an automobile accident on the east road around Flathead lake. His neck was broken when the car he was driving left the road and turned over. Rein was thrown from the car against a tree. None of the other occupants were injured although one of the them was a baby. The accident occurred near Yellow Bay.

In the car with Rein were his wife and youngest child and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Krause. Mrs. Krause is Rein’s sister.

The place of the accident is not considered a dangerous stretch of road and it is supposed that Rein was driving too rapidly to make a turn in safety.

He was 38 years of age and leaves a wife and nine children. His father is Jacob Rein, a well-known Flathead rancher. Fred Rein’s ranch is four miles south of Polson.
