YOUTH DROWNS IN TONGUE RIVER
Miles City, May 26---(AP)--W. J. Williams, aged about 18, was drowned here Friday night while bathing in Tongue river slough, near the mouth of the stream. He and two companions were hiking over the country from the coast, James Young told Sheriff "[illegible] Farnum, in reporting the affair. The body was not recovered. Word was sent to Mrs. Della Williams of New York, whom the officers judged, by memoranda in the young man's pockets, to be his mother.
